Because this is a real community with real people, and we take that seriously. Like a real venue, we're not letting kids in. Verification happens through Stripe Identity, a quick check with a photo ID, handled securely by Stripe, not by us. We never see or store your actual ID. If we can't confirm you're 18+, you don't get in. No exceptions, no "just this once."

You can create a profile and look around Nocturne without verifying anything. Once you're ready to swipe in Discover, post in Backstage, or message someone, that's when we ask you to verify. One quick step, and you're in.

Not just one. It's a page for you: your music, your bands, your gear, your people, with matching as one part of it, not the whole thing. Think less "swipe app," more "your own corner of the scene." If you're not looking for dates, set "Looking for" to Friendship or Bandmates (or both) right in your profile. It'll show at the top of your chats so there's never any confusion about what you're here for. Plenty of people use Nocturne purely to find bandmates, show buddies, or just to be part of the community.

Yes, connect your account to show what you're currently listening to and your top artists, right on your profile. You control who sees it too: everyone, matches only, or nobody, plus a cutoff for how stale the data can get before it's hidden.

A directory of local shops, labels, and venues backing the scene, submitted by verified users. Free to be part of, no middleman.

Independent promoters and small venues listing their own shows directly, so DIY gigs show up right alongside the big platforms.

Help a band or shop get seen. Attach a Band or Collective listing to your own page, and it shows up on both your page and theirs at once, no bidding, no algorithm, just someone vouching for something in public.

Nocturne's shared community board, not a personal feed. Post about a gig, a gear swap, a lineup change, or just vent. Posts show up as real polaroids and take likes, replies, an image, or a link preview.

A public guestbook on your profile. Friends and matches can leave you a message that anyone visiting your page can see, separate from your private inbox.

Link a Discogs collection to show the records you actually own on your profile, not just what a streaming service says you listen to.

Once you've dialed in a filter combination in Discover that works, save it. It's stored on your account and reloads with one tap instead of rebuilding scenes, tags, and distance from scratch every time you open Discover.

One feed for everyone you follow, opt-in from your profile settings. Follow people, Bands, Circuit promoters, or Collective listings, and see their new posts, shows, and Stories in one place instead of checking each page separately.

A photo or video that lives on a profile for 24 hours, then disappears. Personal profiles, Bands, The Circuit, and The Collective can all post one. There's no separate feed of everyone's Stories - you only see one by visiting that profile, where a glowing ring around the photo means there's something to watch. Inside, you can Like it, drop a quick emoji reaction, or Reply, which routes through the same message-request system as everywhere else. Only the owner sees how many people viewed it, and they can delete it anytime.

A living poem, written by everyone who passes through, like a headstone that never stops being carved. Add your word. Shape someone else's line. Every week the verse goes quiet and rests, and what came before lives on in the archive.

If someone reports you and we find it's warranted, you're banned, permanently, no warnings. We built this to be a safe space, and that means we take reports seriously. Don't be the reason someone else has a bad time here.

Reach out to us directly if something went wrong with a payment and we'll handle it case by case. We're not going to nickel and dime you, but we're also one person running this, so please be patient.

From your Account page: tap "Delete my account" at the bottom and type DELETE to confirm. It's instant and permanent, and cancels any membership. Can't sign in? Email us from the address on your account and we'll delete it for you. The full steps, and what gets deleted, are in the Privacy Policy under "Deleting your account" (nocturne-eternal.com/privacy#delete-account).

We take this seriously, real security practices, not an afterthought. We don't sell your data, and we don't hand it to advertisers, because we don't have advertisers. The specifics are in our Privacy Policy (nocturne-eternal.com/privacy), or feel free to reach out.

Every profile, post, and message has a report option. Use it if something's genuinely wrong: harassment, fake profiles, inappropriate content, whatever. We actually read these and act on them.

An opt-in way to connect beyond swiping. Turn it on, and people can send you a message request based on something you posted, or find you through Browse, a plain filterable list by tag or city of everyone with Auto Match on. Nothing opens until you approve it, and every request carries context for why someone's reaching out.

Post your shows and updates on Backstage, our community board. Looking for a bassist, a drummer, someone who can actually scream on key? Post it there. List your own shows directly through The Circuit, no waiting on a promoter to add you. Get Signal Boosted by fans onto their own pages, so more people see you without an algorithm deciding who's worth showing. Nocturne is built to help bands connect directly with the people who'd actually show up for them.
